Unbar Rothon specialises in the
development of seasonings, essences and colourings which are
designed specifically for a client in relation to processing
needs, shelf life and flavour profile. As such most of our
products are consequently reserved for the exclusive use of
the client for whom they are developed.
Areas of expertise
The company has developed its expertise in the area of savoury
applications, using natural materials wherever possible. Our
range includes seasonings and essences for tomato based products,
meat products, soups, cooking sauces, ethnic products, pickles.
These products are specifically formulated to suit their final
food industry usage in respect of processing and shelf-life
requirements. Blends of food colourings, artificial and natural,
are developed for use in a variety of applications. All of
these products can be supplied in bulk or pre-weighed into
"batchpacks" to minimise handling at the point of
use. |
Additionally the company supplies cures for ham and bacon, smoke
flavours and a full range of dehydrated herbs and spices.
Standardised Products
Standardised extracts are available for most herbs and spices along
with onion and garlic. They are composed of extracts of the named
herb or spice and are usually spread on to a salt base. They are
usually formulated to be equivalent in strength to the freshly dried
ground material. Other bases used include dextrose, maltodextrin,
wheat rusk and wheatflour.
Kosher
The company produces blends that are suitable for Kosher certification,
when requested.
Organics
The company is registered with the Soil Association Certification
Ltd. (Organic registration UK5) for the supply of organic herbs
and spices and for the production of organic seasonings. Our licence
number is P4237.
