Amcan Forest Smoke is produced in Tennessee by Forest Flavors International, one of the world's leading smoke producers.

Carefully selected hardwood sawdust (oak, maple, beech and hickory) is roasted in specially designed ovens that control temperature, humidity and oxygen content.
Unwanted lighter gasses such as methane are removed and used in the combustion process whilst the desirable smoke constituents are condensed into pure mountain water.

The resultant smoke condensate is then allowed to stand for several days to settle out the heavy oils and tar before being passed through a number of filtration processes to produce the base smoke condensate.

This base condensate can be further processed to provide a range of products such as buffered smokes, oils, emulsified products, and smoke powders. This range of products enables use in different applications with smokes of varying strength and staining properties.

Amcan Forest Smoke has many applications in the food industry and is gradually replacing the conventional method of smoking because it is a more environmentally friendly and healthier product to use, giving many benefits to the smokehouse operator.
